Feel it to Believe it

We want you to be riding the best crank length for you. Sometimes you just gotta’ try it before you buy it.

The 2XR FIT Crankset Rental program lets you try different length cranks on your own bike, from the comfort of your own saddle.

How Does Rental Work?

You pay full price deposit for the FIT cranks and other parts up front.

Upon returning the cranks back to Appleman, we refund you the full amount minus the rental costs.

You’ll have up to 3 weeks from delivery day to install and test the cranks.

Cranks and parts need to be shipped in this 3 week window using the provided shipping label.

If you want to purchase your own 2XR Crankset, this is the time to do it! Fill out the included order form with the rental cranks with what you want and you’ll receive a $50 credit towards the new cranks.

After we receive the cranks, we’ll check to see if you wanted to order a crankset and then refund the remaining balance after taking out rental costs.

Rental costs

  • Rental Cost = $150 (or $50 with purchase of 2XR Crankset at the time or returning the rental cranks.) ($585 upfront deposit)
  • optional Bottom Bracket + installation tool rental = $15 ($50 up front deposit)
  • optional Chainring rental = $15-$20 ($50 up front deposit)
  • Free shipping both ways (rental only available in USA)
  • After 3 weeks, a $50/week late fee will be assessed.

Example 1: You rent a crankset + bottom bracket + chainring… that’s $725 up front.

You test and successfully return the all the parts and decide not to purchase a new crankset.

Cost to you is $180. You receive a refund of $545.

Example 2: You rent a crankset + bottom bracket + chainring… that’s $725 up front.

You test and successfully return all the parts and decide you want to purchase a sweet new 2XR Crankset! Your new crankset cost is $525. You get a $100 credit towards this new crankset.

Cost of rental + new cranks is $605. You receive a refund of $120 and get new cranks.

What Does Rental Include?

  • 1 pair – 2XR FIT Crank Arms
  • 1 – 2XR Spider
  • 1 – 2XR Spindle
  • 1 – set of spindle spacers
  • 1 – return shipping label
  • 1 – new crank order form

What Isn’t Included?

  • chainring (you can rent one)
  • bottom bracket (you can rent one)
  • tools (only a 5mm allen is required to install the cranks)
  • installation of cranks, bottom bracket, chainrings or any parts that you may need when switching cranks

Will I need to Adjust My Bike?

Installing the 2XR FIT Crankset on your bike may require a new bottom bracket and chainrings.

Luckily the 2XR cranks use a 30mm spindle which is a common size and fits on most bikes (see compatibility below).

Some adjustment may be required to shifting if you have a 2x and front derailleur.

The key here is to know what you’ll need and have your bike prepped for the cranks so you can maximize time riding the cranks, not adjusting your bike.

2XR Fit Crank Features

Purple values are especially important to compare against your current crankset when determining compatibility. 2XR Cranks are designed to fit similar to many existing cranks, but not all setups are the same.
